Pract 5.02

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 5.02 12 September 2018  Session 7: 7.20pm-9.00pm So the day has come where I would be taking my circuit evaluation. I think when I started out, I didn't dare think about reaching this step but now, achieving it really brings such satisfaction to me. Although the RC yesterday was not really good and I was pretty nervous for this. So yeah, The instructor that we got was Chen Jian Hui. hahaha I saw his nametag. He told us to go on our own first, like do whichever course that we wanted to do and then to be back at the starting point at 7.45pm. He would be going around the different courses to see us and all that. So off we went. I tried the plank first cause that was still the one that I was not confident with. I think after the tip by the instructor during my RC#1, I could really do it much much better and felt really confident. So, after that, went to ebrake, then to slope then figure 8 and crank course. Pract 5.01 and RC#1

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 5.01 8 September 2018  Session 3: 11.30am-1.10pm It was raining super heavily in the morning today and I was contemplating whether or not to go for the pract cause I really do not want to be riding in the rain. But, I really don't want to waste the money. So, I decided to go for it. In the end, I was happy that I went to the lesson. I will share more later. So, it turns out that I was the only one for that lesson and I got the same instructor again. I think he's called Andre or something along those lines. So, cause I was the only one and this lesson was supposed to be on pillion riding, he told me that I had to pillion him... I was super shocked like whuuuuuuuddddd... hahahaha and then I just continued on uh. For today, he shared the circuit test route, so its, start at start line, move off, after the bend, lane change to the right, turn right at number 12 then turn left at 29 and go on slope. Pract 4.02 (2nd Attempt)

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 4.02 4 September 2018  Session 7: 7.20pm-9.00pm Okay, So i'm back to take my 4.02. Today, the instructor teaching me was an instructor that was new to me. I never had him for any of my lessons before. However, I remember him cause there was once at the zebra crossing inside the circuit, I didn't check for pedestrian and turns out there was one instructor crossing then I just sped past. I think he was behind me and saw it so he came up to me to tell me that I need to stop next time if got pedestrian. Anyway, I found out that his name is Yusof at the end of the class. So I was really feeling lousy and not confident for this lesson. I don't know why, maybe I was feeling slightly moody also. So, I went for the lesson and we went through the same few courses. Pract 4.02

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 4.02 27 August 2018  Session 7: 7.20pm-9.00pm So, finally here at 4.02. I got the same instructor as my previous lesson. It was like, damn coincidental or something. I think cause of that, I was quite stressed cause he took me for 4.01 and if I sucked at my figure 8 then sibei malu. So we started the lesson and went through all the different courses. Can't remember which I started off with already. So, i think we started off with the plank and pylon first. I was quite surprised at myself cause the plank was quite alright, like I managed to do it within the timeframe and all. I thought that I would not be able to pass it and keep falling off the plank. Then came pylon, I don't remember ever having problems for my pylon but this time round it was bad. Like, really bad. I knocked down the cone twice. It was quite embarrassing. Pract 4.01

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 4.01 1 September 2018  Session 3: 11.30am-1.20pm This is the practical that I'm most afraid of... I am afraid of the figure 8 cause I have tried it before when I was 18 or 19 and I failed terribly at it. So therefore, there is this constant fear that I'm not gonna do well and that I'm not gonna pass this. I really entered this practical with alot of fear and nervousness. So I got the same instructor againnnn.. forgot his name suddenly.. I think the way he teaches is not bad and I felt that it was gonna be okay. So, we had to do figure 8 and crank course. Figure 8 we had to go in, in gear 2, then look far ahead, press rear brake to control speed, maintain throttle and keep going, just before you reach the exit, check if got car, if have, need to kick down to gear 1 and stop, then check back, move off, check blindspot, turn left and prepare for crankcourse. Pract 3.02 (2nd attempt)

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 3.02 21 August 2018  Session 8: 9.10pm-10.50pm Finally after one week, I went for my practicals again. I think I was rather nervous cause I was afraid that I would fall again. However, I think today's went well. I managed to do the techniques properly. Just that I need to remember to hold onto front brake even while changing gears. Also, regarding body posture, I need to remember to lock my elbows and tuck in my stomach as I stop. Also need to remember that the clutch is the least important thing in this lesson. It is okay to stall but must immediately clutch in and start the bike again. Halfway through the lesson, there was the zebra crossing and I took it for granted that nobody was gonna cross, thus I didn't do a thorough check. In the end, there was this instructor crossing the road. OMG I was like... shit shit shit... The instructor made a hand gesture for me to continue though. Pract 3.02

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 3.02 13 August 2018  Session 7: 7.20pm-9.00pm I was really nervous for this lesson as I had not ridden for a week. I didn't have the time and there weren't slots that were available for the times that I had time. So, ohwells. So today, I had Zann(?) for my instructor. I quite like the way that he teach. He might be strict but he really tells you where to improve and what you were doing wrong. So even if he don't pass me, I will accept it; not like other instructors that I have. There were 5 of us taking this pract and when 2 of them saw that it was him, they both had sorta "big reaction" and said that likely they won't be able to pass alr. Internally, I was laughing, seems like Zann has a reputation for failing people. HAHA. I, on the other hand, was super happy that he was taking me for this pract. Pract 3.01

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 3.01 5 August 2018  Session 2: 9.20am-11.00am Today was my first 3.01 lesson. I was really nervous as I felt that I wouldn't do well on the plank. It just seemed quite scary for me even though the the plank wasn't very high. there were 5 of us taking this pract and I think 3/5 of us were first timers. So, as usual, the start of the pract, he made us choose our bikes and all. I chose bike 11 this time. I remember riding it before. Just can't remember whether it was good or not. Ohwells. Subsequently, he brought us one round and let us try out the plank. and the plyon. This entire lesson that's what we did. Plank then Plylon and it repeats. Its good though, cause you really just keep practicing it. So, the first time I went on the plank, I couldn't stay on it. I think I was really scared and couldn't manoeuvre the handlebar. Pract 2.02

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 2.02 4 August 2018  Session 3: 11.30am-1.10pm Finally managed to go for my Pract 2.02 cause there weren't any available slots on weekday nights. That was really irritating. I kept going in to check whether there were earlier slots and there weren't. Urgh. I think it's cause for 2.01 and 2.02, there are only 3 slots per session. When I took, all three times, 2.01 and 2.02 including this lesson, there were always only 3 people for the session. So, yes bobian had to take a weekend slot. I hope I haven't forgotten the "feel" of the bike since I hadn't ridden in about a week. :( So, the person teaching us this session is Andre, lol, I saw his nametag. He is this really tall dude. Pract 2.01 (2nd attempt)

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 2.01 29 July 2018  Session 4: 1.20pm-3.00pm So, I came down again for the second attempt of my 2.01. I was quite early for the lesson and waited awhile for the lesson to start. Anyway, I'm annoyed cause there isn't alot of slots for 2.01 especially during weekday nights. So, yep, I had to come during the weekends again.  So, anyway, we went and did the same thing. Personally, I liked this instructor cause he passed me for my 1.03. HAHA and I felt that he really has to heart to want his students to learn and pass so he really tries. So, I'm glad I got him.  So, the sun was relentless and it was really hot. Felt slightly faint actually. So, anyway, we did the same things. He mentioned that the left turn is ok. However, I have to be careful when I check my blindspot, to not turn my head too much as it would cause my bike to wobble. Pract 2.01

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 2.01 27 July 2018  Session 8: 9.10pm-10.50pm Was super early for the class. I'm quite bumped that I had to book this timing as there were no other slots available. It was like the only slot since I passed my 1.03 last Sunday. It's frustrating that there are no 7.20pm slots at all and just super annoyed that there were no earlier slots. So, enough of my ranting. I guess my bad mood affected my performance too. I was really worried for this practical cause it's a sort of real real lesson, like there's a course involved. For this class, there were only 3 of us. Another 2 guys and I. So, the things we needed to do were to do left turns, use signals and check blindspot and also slope. Pract 1.03

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 1.03 22 July 2018  Session 3: 11.30am-1.10pm I was late for the pract!! Left house at 10.00am and I still couldn't reach on time. Didn't manage to take the shuttle bus from Bukit Gombak and had to walk all the way there. I think I probably would have to leave the house earlier if I were to take weekend classes again. Like 2hrs earlier... ohmanzzz... Anyway, since it was an afternoon class, I was hoping that it would be cloudy and that it wouldn't rain. As I walked nearer to BBDC, there was actually thunder and I was praying so hard. LOL so... I reached BBDC and went to scan my IC to take the slip of paper then rushed to the room. The class already left so I quickly took my tag and went to the benches to put on my knee guards and helmet and all that. When I went to the benches, I saw Dinah! Pract 1.02

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 1.02 20 July 2018  Session 7: 7.20pm-9.00pm Was rushing down from work and thank God I made it! I went to scan my IC for the slip of paper that told me my tag and tag number. I'm tag 17 this time. So, there were 3 of us in this lesson. Dinah and another guy. Dinah talked to me as I sat down in the room to wait for the instructor to call us. She was really nice and it was fun getting to know someone else, another girl especially. I think cause we're girls taking class 2b, we'll feel some sort of camaraderie. LOL. That's what I think. So anyway, the instructor called us. Didn't manage to get his name though. He told us to take a bike and go rounds in the small circuit, to practice starting and stopping. Just for your info, the normal bikes are the ones with 2 numbers. Single number bikes have a lower cut in terms of the seat. Pract 1.01

BBDC Class 2b   Pract 1.01 16 July 2018  Session 8: 9.10pm-10.40pm Was super lost at first, waited at the benches area. However, I walked back and saw that there was a room of people who were gathered there. Asked the instructor there as it was my first lesson. His name is Jeffrey and he was really nice, he asked me if I printed out the slip of paper from scanning your IC from the red machine. He said that on the piece of paper, there’ll be my number tag and the colour of the number tag. So I went out to print the slip of paper, put my bag on the shelf (put at your own risk) and headed back into the room.   Turns out, Jeffrey was my instructor for the day! I passed him my IC and the slip of paper. Then he kinda showed us around the place. Like where the toilet is, where the water cooler is etc.   As I brought my own helmet, elbow and knee guards, I did not use the ones provided by the school. You could if you want to.
